About us

We are a trusted partner for mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, growth capital, and strategic advisory services for clients throughout the U.S.

PCTA has advised private business owners on transactions ranging in size from $20 million to over $1 billion.

Our clients have partnered with domestic and international strategic acquirers, financial investors, private equity platform companies, and family offices. PCTA has extensive experience in a variety of business models, industries, and end markets which gives us a unique perspective to draw upon when considering every new transaction. The common theme among all our clients is that they are exceptional performers in their niche markets.

Our clients receive the same experience and process as one would expect from a bulge bracket Wall Street investment bank, but with the personal attention of a boutique advisory firm.

Why Clients Choose Private Capital

Transaction Advisors

Component

It’s our belief that to be successful in achieving the desired outcome for our clients, we must act as if we are shareholders in their businesses. This means going beyond understanding the business, ownership structure, and transaction objectives to craft the most compelling story to potential buyers. It means getting to know our clients personally, meeting their families and advisory team, understanding what drives them, and often times going outside the scope of our “expected” role to ensure a successful outcome is achieved.

Hands-on. Your transaction will be managed and executed by the team you meet from day one.

At the end of the day, we are in the people business and we measure success by the happiness of our clients. We understand the sale of a company can be an emotional experience and we want our clients to know that we have their backs every step of the way.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

Rob and A.J.’s team did an extraordinary job in broadly marketing our deal and negotiating a successful transaction on a very aggressive timeline. Leaving no stone left unturned, the team was able to find the right partner to provide a strong platform to expand our position in the distributed energy industry. Over a several year period and two transactions, the team’s M&A and capital raising advisory assistance was crucial for the evolution of our company.

Tom Chadwick, CEO, Endurant Energy
 (formerly known as GI Energy)

For several years leading up to our sale, A.J. and Rob’s team kept us current on transaction activity in our space. With a strong M&A market and our unique positioning in our industry, the team was prepared to execute a sale process that targeted both strategic and financial buyers in order to provide us options going forward. Ultimately, we closed a transaction with a strong strategic partner
